Shift Bidding

A shift bid is the process by which shift assignments are awarded to members within Local 77. Every December, everyone submits a bid (a list of the shifts they would like to work on). Shifts are awarded to members based on their seniority with the local.

Each Quarter, members can choose to keep their shift, or vacate it to bid to another shift which has become open since the original bid. This is also when new members can submit bids for shifts which are currently open. A member does not own a shift until it has been awarded to them through the bidding process.
